swooning over...silhouette wallpaper

thank you thank you thank you for all of the amazing comments! It feels good to get the news out there...it felt like i had to hide some things from ya before I got that off my chest!

Our 3-day weekend zoomed by, but we did fit in 2 BBQ's, so it was a good way to bid adieu to summer. although, it feels like summer just began in L.A. with temperatures around 95 in my neighborhood!

We also fit in a trip to HD Buttercup and saw the most amazing wallpaper in one of the show rooms which the nice man who was working let me photograph!

The wallpaper was made by a japanese company and cost them tons of $$ {so the nice man told us.} He recommends painting something similar yourself, which was exactly what we were thinking. ;)

I've never been the biggest mural fan, but something like this on a wall or two would look so great in a kids rooms, don't ya' think? Adam loves the fireplace and i love the trees and the chandelier. obviously all 3 is supreme overkill, and it should be painted in a dark brown to stay on track with what we're kind of thinking for the bedroom. What's your favorite?

It will be torture for me to not be able to do this myself {my mom passed on the control freak gene with things like this..."hi mom!"...can't i just wear one of those masks and start painting?
Mati, Lisa, Emily...want to help? :)

whoops, almost forgot...i'm heading up to the bay area for a family reunion for a few days, so I'll be back in business on Monday! Three cheers for short work weeks...
hip hip hooray

I love the family mural and the washing line.. The first because it's funny and the second because it's so serene. But it all depends on where you want to paint it! I guess that the tree image is the best for a childs room. I didn't like the fireplace at all, but the others are really good for inspiration :) It's great that you thought of taking photos and then posting them!

I'm partial to the woman hanging her wash on the line (complete with frizzy hair - too cute!) but either of the tree silhouettes would be cute in a bedroom. The birdcage would look particularly sweet in a baby's room...since it sounds like you'll be thinking of such things in the near future. Congratulations!

Using a projector makes things pretty easy and you know what you’re going to get and you can play with the scale and position easier. As far as the image I think something original from you both not something that will always be remembered in the likeness of pre-manufactured Japanese wallpaper you saw at your "local" furniture store. Or you could do the silhouette of your favorite fairytale characters or one true to life that may include a scene of Henry I and Henry II playing in wind-swept sea grass (I can see it now, so happy) or your favorite locale exemplifying the one ear up one ear down philosophy. Either way I’m sure it will look great and more importantly if baby Lowrey is anything like her cousin, brown is a good color choice. This probably would have been better said over the phone. Ahhh...whatever.

Hi There!
Do you mind if I use some of these silhouette wallpaper pictures on my blog? I'm planning a new craft space and a room for my toddler, and I wanted to include some things that are inspiring me. I will give full credit to you of course! ;) So bummed I missed Felt Club (I'm in Michigan). Love your blog too...! Thanks!
