My name is Amy Lowrey and try to live a creative life with my husband, daughter and dog
in our Los Angeles farm house.
My love of design and paper products sparked my small business posy press,
a successful stationery and design business. With the birth of my daughter I continued to run the business, but slowly burned out - dragging her around trying to get everything done and meet the demands of my clients. I made a tough choice then to give posy press a little break.
In the mean time, I had taken up sewing and had always been interested in interior design.
Sewing for my daughter, Lucy, quickly became my new creative outlet. As I progressed, my confidence increased and so did the size of my projects.
When we moved into our farmhouse a few years ago it gave me so many opportunities to dream about the comfortable spaces i wanted to carve out for our family. I began making simple products for the home, mostly out of/or inspired by vintage textiles and supplies. Soon friends and family were asking me to make these items available for them as well. Without realizing, I was working.
These days, as Lucy's school days grow longer, you can find me working on posy press again as well as improving our home in any way i can.
(i especially enjoy painting and performing mini-makeovers in our home while my husband is away on business --- SURPRISE!)
