corners of my home #2

One of the advantages of being disorderly is that one is constantly making discoveries.
– A.A. Milne

This is my favorite corner in the studio/extra bedroom. This corner is rather uncluttered, more a place to stash away some supplies and finished projects and post up some inspiring art and ephemera. On the other side of the room is where the mess and piles are made...I'll post that one sometime soon. I usually need 24-hours notice when a guest is coming to stay with us so I can make this space comfortable as a guest room and not an art studio. To see more corners, look here.

Below is a new book, custom designed for a mom to give to her daughter as a gift. It is made with brown book cloth, pink rick rack and thai hand-painted paper. The book block is italian mouldmade paper which is hand-sewn for use as a journal or photo album.

And, this is quilt and the rest of kim's baby shower gift. She loved the quilt and handmade album (which was constructed similarly to the one above.) I stayed up super late on Friday wrapping it up for her! Next up, Henry will get his own custom quilt.
