before * after : toy chest

BEFORE

AFTER

what a fun project this was. we received the hand-me-down pooh toy box from our neighbor, and although pooh is fantastic, i wanted the toybox to go downstairs, so i wanted it to look a little bit cool. or hip. mostly, i wasn't really a fan of the primary color thing. i was patient with myself throughout this project. took it apart. cleaned it. sanded it. painted it. sealed it. the paint peeled and cracked. sanded again. painted again. phew. all in all it took a few days with one to two hours each day. and now, already, packed to the gills.
p.s. giveaways are on this girls brain so stay tuned...

I love the paint color and fabric you chose. I think the finished product looks great! It's still very kid friendly but with a touch of sophistication just the way you wanted it.
