a quiet girl, is a busy girl...

ahhhh yes indeed. so friends, to get back on track, a pictorial of what I've been up to for the last week:
i made this inspire wire for my mom's bday gift. she requested one when she saw mine. I clipped some gifts on to the wire, from left to right: top row: a date to take her to the robert rauschenberg exhibit at moca, a pearl drop necklace, vintage happy bday wrap card, 2 yards of vintage reproduction ribbon, fabric covered card
bottom row: tiny bag of notions, holly hobby vintage wrap card, 52 projects book, placeholder for some custom artwork i am doing for her, and i took her to see The Break Up so I put a pic of that up there as well!
{She loved it!}

and remember those cute fishy shower invites? those were for my dear friend's baby shower last weekend. Isn't she a beauty? I made this for her baby boy T's room. She loved it and fought back a few tears when she unwrapped it. the shower was held at Ty's house and as the chocolate chip cookies were being passed around, she shows up with these hilarious bottles of milk. The guest of honor absolutely loves milk, so they were perfect! I had to show them cause they still make me laugh. Ty continued to drink them for the rest of the weekend.
I also just finished up some birthday invites for a 60 year-old architect that lives in Santa Barbara {that's really all i know about him!} They are at the printer as we speak, but they came out pretty good. They are booklet form with stitching up the side to hold it all together. The envelopes are glassine with custom address labels.And...my amazing package of goodies arrived from Vintage Pleasure! Filled with so many amazing finds...thank you so much, i love it all!

I feel I'm back on track...maybe I'll even be back later today to join in on color week #2 via port2port and little birds.

I do know I'll be back tomorrow to show & tell why I LOVE ikea.

Amy, how sweet, Mom must have had big tears coming down her sweet face. The "T" is adorable, can see why she teared up, the invitations are great. And how cute of Ty the milk bottles, what a great idea, goes with the cookies, just darling. Welcome back, you were missed. Love you Aunt Sharon
