one long &%# post

not much designing or crafting in these parts...looks like i took a one week vacay without realizing it...it's feeling like full-swing summer, and I love it all {minus accompanying heatwave.} I'm missing the days of summer breaks, spending long days relaxing with friends and family {poolside or oceanside particularly!} so, i made my own mini summer break over the weekend...

actually, i started on wednesday by meeting up with my best girlfriends {and a best girlfriends 5-month old little darling, baby syd!} So great seeing old friends...I never like it when it's time to leave! Luckily, Ty and I had a slumber party after, enjoying a night of So You Think You Can Dance and Project Runway. Adam truly enjoyed our choice of shows for the evening. ;)

Thursday after work I headed to my mom's where my niece and nephew were staying while my
sis met up with one of her blogger friends for dinner.
O and C are soo much fun. I enjoy every minute with those two. We had fun playing in the backyard with squirt guns, chasing eachother all over. Making cupcakes {the Grandma's idea} and watching both of them licking the mixers afterward, getting more chocolate on their faces and shirts than in their mouths {and C telling me his was a sucker.} I documented the fun times and they are no where to be found on my camera. I know I got some with my mom's camera, so I'll have to save those for a later post.

Friday, more fun with kiddos, mom and sis in excruciating heat. I'm talking 110 degrees. Needless to say, we found ways to stay indoors.
Saturday adam and I went to the beach with Henry where he even went in the water! He's not exactly a 'water dog' so it took a bit of persuading, but basically, he likes being wherever adam and I are, therefore, if we went into the water, so did he. the tennis ball helped out a bit too.

And now, making more of an effort to be more present this week around here and in the extra bedroom getting some work done...

Wow, you had a fun and busy time, new babies(what a cutie),friends, very best freinds, nieces,The MOM (cupcakes-is she perfect or what) the beach, Adam, Henry, busy beautiful niece that you are. Hot you say, I was at the desert home for 1 week, 121, goodness. The humidity is a killer. Gerry, the grandaughter Marina 13 now,I could hardly look at how grown up and pretty she is now, sad, but good. Kelly(the fiance)her 12 year old darling daughter Madison, her sweet 10 year old Logan. They all had a great time, and I enjoyed them so much, but now they are all in Phoenix, actually Las Cruces New Mexico where Gerry is racing tonight. I missed them as soon as the door shut. Anyhow, I missed you, and love you very. much.........Love You, Aunt Sharon
